The Udupi based Swarna Jewellers had prepared jewellery worth Rs 5.25 crore to Lord Ganesha of G S B Sevamandala’s King’s Circle, Mumbai. The gold was handed over to the committee on Friday. The idol of lord Ganapathy is 17 feet tall. The gold jewellry includes four feet tall two lions, two feet Abhaya hasta, left leg on the thigh, two ivory, left and right ears. A total of 26 kg gold and 50 kg silver has been used for preparing the jewellry. The purity of the gold has been marked by BIS hall mark. The preparation of the jewellry was under the direction of Gujjadi Ramadasa Nayak. About 2,100 man days were required for the completion of the gold.
